I am running a campaign ONLY funded by grass roots donors.
My campaign is based on RESIDENTS. I am available to meet with residents and I am inviting residents to join me walking the neighborhoods, visiting with groups, handing out information, spreading the word on line and basically working together to reform our city government.
We accept no funds from Corporations or any large business interests.
Our target donation is $99, best sent as a check to “Macleay for Oakland City Council Dist 1 2012” and mailed to P.O. Box 20299 Oakland CA 94620. If you wish to donate more than that, the laws of California require that I collect the following information from you, so please print out this page and send it in with your check. Note that the maximum donation is $600. (This is one of those rules that claims to be about ethics and politics and makes life hard for small grass roots campaigns. Ask me about this when you see me in the district)
If you wish to volunteer, be on our mailing list or anything else like that, this form also works for that. So please let us know who you are and how we can work together.

I confirm that the following statements are true and accurate:
The Oakland Campaign Review Act limits donations to $600 per individual. Couples may donate $1,200, but must give up to $600 each separately as individuals. Political Action Committees may contribute up to $1,300. The Oakland Campaign Review Act (OMC Sec.3.12.140) also prohibits contributions during specific time periods from contractors doing business with the City of Oakland.
